2017.6.25 World Day of the Seafarer

World Day of the Seafarer is an annual commemoration day to commemorate the contribution of seafarers from all over the world's international shipping trade bodies to the economic and social integration of the world. From 21 to 25 June 2010, the International Maritime Organization (IMO) convened a Diplomatic Conference of States Parties to the STCW Convention in Manila, Philippines. During the conference, delegations from 41 countries, including China, as well as four international organizations, including the International Chamber of Shipping (ICS), the International Shipping Federation (ISF), the International United Shipowners Association (IFSMA) and the International Transport Workers Federation (ITF), jointly proposed the establishment of "Seafarer's Day. Finally, the General Assembly adopted and in the form of "Day of the Seafarer" (Day of the Seafarer) decided to name June 25 of each year as "Day of the Seafarer". The International Maritime Organization (IMO) has designated 25 June as World Day of the Seafarer ".
