Shanghai Huayang Shines at the 8th International Diving, Salvage & Ocean Engineering Equipment Exhibition
From November 7th to 9th, 2025, the 8th International Diving, Salvage & Ocean Engineering Equipment Exhibition grandly opened in Xiamen. Jointly organized by the China Diving & Salvage Association, the Association of Diving Contractors International, and the International Marine Contractors Association, this edition of the exhibition was themed "Focusing on New Drivers of the Ocean Economy, Promoting High-Quality Development in Diving, Salvage, and Ocean Engineering." It brought together top-tier equipment and technological achievements from the global ocean engineering and emergency rescue sectors.
As a significant force in domestic maritime technology and talent cultivation, Shanghai Huayang Maritime Science & Technology Development Co., Ltd. was invited to participate. It is particularly noteworthy that the company's "Shanghai Huayang DP Talent Training Center," a key base in China for independently cultivating DPOs (Dynamic Positioning Operators) and DPMs (Dynamic Positioning System Maintenance Technicians), has trained 168 professionals across 17 sessions since its establishment in December 2023. It has served 33 government units and large enterprises, including the Ministry of Natural Resources, the Chinese Arctic and Antarctic Administration, Sinopec, and CCCC Third Harbor Engineering Co., Ltd., injecting solid talent momentum into China's ocean engineering industry.
During the exhibition, Shanghai Huayang Maritime Science & Technology Development Co., Ltd., in collaboration with Harbin Ship & Ocean Intelligent Equipment Technology Co., Ltd., jointly showcased their latest cooperative achievements in the R&D and training application of DP (Dynamic Positioning) system equipment. This included a DP2 system physical unit and multiple sets of advanced training simulators, which attracted significant attention from numerous attending leaders, experts, and industry representatives.
Weng Mengyong, former Vice Minister and Deputy Secretary of the Party Leadership Group of the Ministry of Transport, and Member of the 13th National People's Congress Standing Committee, visited the booth accompanied by guests including Song Jiahui, Honorary Chairman, and Chen Biwu, Chairman of the China Diving & Salvage Association. He listened attentively to Shanghai Huayang's detailed introduction regarding the functional characteristics and technical advantages of the DP system equipment. This equipment, developed and manufactured by Harbin Ship & Ocean Intelligent Equipment Technology Co., Ltd., features high-precision positioning, multi-mode operation, and full-mission simulation capabilities. Adopting a modular and intelligent design, it integrates practical training, fault diagnosis, and assessment evaluation functions. It can cooperate with the DP Training Center to achieve end-to-end talent cultivation from basic operations to advanced maintenance, providing advanced equipment support for building China's professional teams of DPOs and DPMs. The distinguished guests highly praised the achievements of the collaboration in promoting the development of domestic DP equipment and the training system.
Through this participation, Shanghai Huayang not only comprehensively demonstrated its integrated technical capabilities in DP talent training, intelligent vessels, and emergency rescue but also further enhanced its brand influence in the domestic and international ocean engineering markets. During the exhibition, the company conducted in-depth exchanges with multiple domestic and international industry organizations and enterprises in fields such as underwater operations, emergency rescue, and new energy equipment.
